Between the Teeth and Tongue

Between the teeth and tongue

where thoughts are captured,

swallowed down and  fractured,

devolved, dissolved and battered,

crunched and churned and shattered.

In the belly pit,

absorbed, reformed, transformed,

grated, mutated, sedated.

Returned

stomach churns,

throat burns,

tongue  squirms,

gentle words are formed,

conformed and warmed,

light and soft and sweet

but incomplete.
